F.I.R.S.T. Institute: Recording Arts and Show production Program

Can you see yourself working at a career in the music industry within the next year? There are a lot of audio engineering jobs and openings out there for entry-level music industry professionals looking to break into the business — whether you enjoy mixing audio tracks, setting up equipment behind the scenes, or being the star of the show, let F.I.R.S.T. Institute's audio production school help you take the first step towards realizing your dream.

At F.I.R.S.T. Institute, we strive to prepare our students for careers in the Recording Arts and Show Production industries. Our 11 music production month program has been carefully designed to teach students the ins and outs of the recording arts from beginning basics through to advanced techniques. We fully believe in preparing graduates for the reality of the industry — all coursework and training at F.I.R.S.T. Institute utilizes cutting-edge technology found in most studios and used by producers and audio engineers around the world. Audio production school with us prepares you for working in the music industry!

The Basics Of Audio Engineering:

Starting out, Recording Arts and Show Production students will explore the fundamentals of sound: how people hear and process audio in both digital and analog presentations. Moving forward, they will learn how to navigate Mac OS and how to organize their own files while working with industry standard audio software. Legendary industry figures will also be studied, including many Grammy-winning audio engineers.

Your Portfolio:

Need to build your first portfolio, or put together your first resume? You’ll be working on both of these during your time at F.I.R.S.T. Institute — we’re serious about getting our students ready to join the industry. After working through the meat of the course, which includes radio commercial production and creating realistic soundscapes and atmospheres, students will complete an internship as well.

See it, Hear it, Do it!

During each part of the course, students will receive comprehensive lecture-style instruction and plenty of hands-on time putting what they’ve learned into practice. Projects will be assigned throughout the courses that are designed to help students develop and hone the audio engineering skills that will enable them to be competitive in any music industry job position.

Real World Training

Interspersed with instruction time and hands-on projects, students will also be quizzed on what they have learned and drills will accompany new information, allowing students ample opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge of the material. The end goal of our course is to prepare students to enter the music production industry as soon as possible after graduation. Whether you see yourself working in radio, television, live sound and show production, post-production, or any other audio visual field, we can help you get there!

Your Future Career:

With the backing of a solid education behind you, there’s nothing that you cannot accomplish! When you combine the top-notch instruction that you will receive as a student at F.I.R.S.T. Institute with your drive to succeed, you’re putting yourself on the fast track to a career in the music industry that you could only have dreamed of!

At this time we are not offering scholarships for our Recording Arts program, but we do offer various Financial Aid options and we'd love to get you more information on our program to help you discover just how affordable it can be.
